It’s very encouraging that funders support projects like YCharOS, which does not address hypotheses, but rather does the foundational, but not sexy, work of testing and characterizing reagent antibodies in order to make everyone else’s science more robust and reproducible.

Non-animal derived antibodies and affinity reagents are part of the solution. We are working to accelerate their uptake as alternatives to traditional antibodies that are more reproducible and replace animal use. nc3rs.org.uk/news/recommend….

Fantastic to see our work with the @OGA_Community highlighted in this article. Poor antibodies waste research funding and time, delay scientific progress and drug development, and lead to unnecessary animal use where in vivo experiments or animal-derived products are involved.
