What a day we had on Saturday at the Limavady Agricultural Show! We had over 40 budding artists who took part in our Oggie colouring competition. The winner was Izzy Kolbe! Her little sister Maddie also won a special prize for her efforts. Congratulations girls and well done!

The first progress report on the implementation of the Cancer Strategy for Northern Ireland, has been published. The Strategy which was first published 4 years ago now, is due to run until 2032. You can read the full report on our website: ogcancerni.com

After a weekend break, we're back tomorrow for another double show Saturday. If you're out and about, you can visit our stands at the Limavady Agricultural Show and the Castlewellan Show. Another busy day raising awareness and sharing the work we do.

The cutest story this summer! Harper Henry (peach top) was the Newry winner of our Oggie comp. She was delighted to have won, but didn't want Oggie to be lonely. She decided it was only right to get her bestie, Billie McNeill one too. The two besties now also have bestie bears!

We'd a great time at the Omagh Show. Congrats to Alex Dodenciu who won his very own Oggie after coming up with the adorable monkier 'Captain Cuddles' for his teddy. We'd also like thank to the wonderful Eamon McGarrity who travelled from Lisnaskea to help us man the stand!

This #ThankYouTuesday we'd like to extend our thanks to Naomi Montgomery for all her support recently. Naomi completed the Belfast Marathon to raise funds for OGCNI and just last weekend, she helped man a stall at Tesco Newtownards, raising awareness of the charity and what we do

What a weekend! It was another wonderful day, this time at the Newry Show! Oggie made new friends, the Mayor of @nmdcouncil, Cllr Glyn Hanna stopped by and our super volunteers - Hubert and Marilyn, Gareth, Victor, Petra and Anna did a great job. Next stop Omagh on Sat 4th July!

As part of our efforts to raise awareness, we will be hosting Information Stands in a number of Tesco Stores across NI. Could you spare some time on Friday 7th August to help man the stand in Tesco Lisburn? If so, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch for more info.

What a wonderful day we had at the Saintfield Show on Saturday! There was a little bit of everything going on. Congrats to Skylar who won our colouring competition and her own Oggie to take home! A great day all round, thanks to all who stopped by for a chat.

Great news - the first patient has been recruited to DESTINY-Gastric 05 at the North West Cancer Centre! This trial is developed for treatment of metastatic gastric and Oesophago-Gastric cancer who are HER2 positive. A huge well done to Dr. Abdulkhalek and his team!

A huge congratulations to Aimee Brown! Aimee was the winner of our colouring competition at the Armagh Show on Saturday and won her very own Oggie for her efforts. Well done to everyone who took part. There'll be lots more opportunities to pick up an Oggie over the summer

We were delighted to catch-up with Grace Lavery. Grace recently ran the Wexford half marathon in aid of OG, raising a fantastic £1,230! Grace was inspired to run for OG after her father and grandmother were diagnosed and treated for oesophageal cancer. Thank you for your support!

As Carers Week comes to an end, we would like to extend our gratitude to all those who keep things going behind the scenes when someone's life is turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis. What you do matters. You make all the difference to the lives of those you love the most

Those of us who know how hard the team of 2 North work, know how incredible they all are. Today we want to send a special thanks to Nuala McCloy, Sharon Caldwell, Judith Moutray and Rebecca Balfour -the 2North Belfast Marathon relay team. What an amazing bunch of ladies you are!

To the victor, the spoils! The wonderful Nuala McCloy was victorious when it came to naming our OG~Seabourn Teddy recently. Our Chair, Helen Setterfield visited Nuala to present her with her very own Oggie. We’re sure he will live his best life as mascot of Ward 2North, BCH!
