@BrothershipPool I'm a huge fan of Charles. I still think he can lead Cardano to flip Bitcoin. But your right about the FUD. Typically CEO's/leaders have unwavering optimism (publically) for good reason. Can't let future adopters/investors hear FUD from the main guy. Actually pretty insane.

I've begun a comprehensive governance review of over 11,000 DAOs and a decade of literature in and out of our space to study executive function, roadmap, and strategy setting. The goal will be to propose some ideas to add new features to Cardano's governance via the constitution and new technology that will resolve much of the conflict we are facing. I'm considering if it is prudent at this point to become a Drep and to host a new mini-convention to get it done in time for the 2027 process. More on this later. #CardanoUnityAndClarity

@cryptoJimmy1992 @ItsDave_ADA @IOHK_Charles If you look at your Walmart receipt or quote from a contractor and think that’s the costs that they paid for those goods or services you’re wrong. If your business is showing cost of goods or cost to perform the services you are doing it wrong. You're profit margin is private.

@OGSavitar @ItsDave_ADA @IOHK_Charles Man that’s funny never worked that way for our engineering business in construction or our farming business when we do government work. No customer hires a business to work for them without knowing how much the job will cost and what the line item cost of the inputs are.

With 67 million ADA voting power, I have decided to vote NO on the treasury withdrawal: IO & Ensurable Systems: Cardano Maintenance Initiative On behalf of my loyal delegates. Rationale With 67 million ADA voting power, I have decided to vote NO on the treasury withdrawal: IO & Ensurable Systems: Cardano Maintenance Initiative On behalf of my loyal delegates. I am officially changing my vote from YES to NO on the IO and Ensurable Systems: Cardano Maintenance Initiative, representing 66.94 million ADA on behalf of my loyal delegates. Initially, I intended to support this proposal to secure our operational foundation. However, upon deeper reflection, my faith in the current leadership to successfully execute a mandate of this magnitude has severely diminished. I cannot in good conscience deploy my delegates' voting power to endorse this request under its current conditions. Professionalism is the bedrock of decentralised governance, and I am profoundly disappointed by the recent public conduct displayed by leadership. The Cardano brand represents a mature, enterprise grade ecosystem. When individuals approach the public Treasury for tens of millions of dollars, their behaviour must absolutely reflect that maturity. The recent conduct falls drastically short, causing undeniable brand damage and directly undermining my confidence in their ability to lead and execute effectively. Furthermore, governance of a finite Treasury requires absolute financial accountability. Approving an opaque budget of over sixty two million ADA is fiscally irresponsible without a granular, line item breakdown. The community can no longer be expected to write blank cheques while being denied basic financial transparency, this ask is significant. We must hold our infrastructure stewards to the highest possible standards. Technical capability does not excuse financial opacity, nor does it excuse unprofessional conduct that damages our ecosystem's reputation. Until these fundamental standards are met, my vote remains a firm NO, I appreciate the hard work done by all of the team at IOG, and would welcome a proposal with further transparency on specific spend. I just voted YES with 66.94 million ADA on the treasury withdrawal proposal: IO & Ensurable Systems: Cardano Maintenance Initiative On behalf of my loyal delegates. Rationale I am formally registering a YES vote on the Cardano Maintenance Initiative Treasury Withdrawal. I would like to explicitly credit Input Output Global for their foundational work and continued dedication to the ecosystem. The blockchain's remarkable reliability and the team's recent urgent coordination to ensure uninterrupted operation for almost nine years stand as a true testament to the exceptional technical pedigree behind this infrastructure. Because this continuous core maintenance is absolutely essential to Cardano's immediate future and operational security, I am supporting this proposal today. However, I must state clearly that the financial ask is exceptionally high. Approving a budget of over sixty two million ADA is incredibly difficult when one cannot easily dig into the granular specifics of the expenditure. In future budget cycles, I expect to see a significantly reduced financial request paired with comprehensive transparency. We require fine grained cost breakdowns that clearly detail exactly what is required to achieve the proposal's outputs, outlining the what, when, and how against the capital requested. Whilst I vote in favour today to secure our operational foundation, this is not a blank cheque for the future. These financial and reporting oversights must be rectified for me to even consider supporting a similar funding request in the next budget cycle. Keep up the great work @IOGroup Transaction adastat.net/transactions/e…

@cryptoJimmy1992 @ItsDave_ADA @IOHK_Charles Your absolutely right but my point is any receipt, invoice or quote is showing the purchase price not the providers cost to manufacture, procure or provide service. There is a profit margin that is not disclosed. You see the cost YOU will pay per item or service.

@cryptoJimmy1992 @ItsDave_ADA @IOHK_Charles No, estimates are what the customer will pay. No business shows the cost to complete a job. I do B2B and Gov contracting. There is no such thing as a business revealing their internal cost to complete jobs regardless of selling to consumers, businesses or government.

@cryptoJimmy1992 @ItsDave_ADA @IOHK_Charles Companies don't share internal cost. Even when bidding, quotes are buyer cost, not the cost to do the job. It's the buyers right/duty to consider other quotes. Question is who else is offering it cheaper at the same quality as IO? Nobody. It's illogocal to blame @IOHK_Charles

@ItsDave_ADA Exactly what I’ve been saying for months. What is wrong with IOG producing a line item list of overhead costs? It’s not too much to ask for a cost estimate for a job? @IOHK_Charles any contractor in the real world has to produce a basic estimate quote. What’s wrong with that?

@OzDefi I could me misinterpreting Charles but the way I’m hearing it is not that he will fire anyone but he is saying that if the oay is not competitive enough the talent will leave on its own for better pay. Kind of like a job.

We aren't firing anyone, you are. We are hiring most of those people you mentioned to finish the job at a discounted rate. We value their skills. It isn't about all or nothing its about a discounted pay because $ada is at such a low price. Fire them all Charles we don't care. They will have jobs waiting on the other side. signed, Team #Cardano

@Sssebi Imagine your on a bank heist crew…you all do a job and split the funds and a little is set aside for the next job…then one of the guys says to the mastermind hey since you come up with the jobs you should fund the next one from your cut instead of what we sat aside.

What's stopping the Cardano founding entities to use the funds they got allocated when the entities were created? Why does everything need to be funded with the Cardano Treasury. No blaming, I'm just trying to understand. Weren't those funds meant to help them continue dev?

@DuskyMoko Big difference. Taxpayers have to fund one while the other is simply a question of can you afford your mortgage? If not the bank takes it back. It is not fair for people to take advantage of such programs at others expense.

People who have mortgages should be reassessed for that mortgage every five years and if they wouldn't qualify they have to sell that house and buy a house they can afford. See, I can make up stupid shit to make people's living situations more precarious too.

Social housing should be given only conditional 5 year leases, once you reach year 5 you are means tested. If your income exceeds a threshold you need to rent in the private sector. Simple and effective.

We know a lot of you have been waiting on iOS, so here’s where things stand. The base version of the app has today been approved by Apple and is live here: apps.apple.com/us/app/lace-wa… Some features are currently unavailable after being flagged during Apple’s extended review process under Guideline 3.1.5, which applies to apps connected to crypto exchange services. Rather than delay the release any further, we chose to launch the approved version first while continuing to work through the remaining items with Apple. For now, the flagged dApp Explorer entries, Swap, and the fiat on-ramp have been temporarily removed from the iOS build. The goal is to bring these back as approvals come through. The process itself has been slow and pretty tedious, with review feedback arriving in roughly two-day cycles, but progress is being made and we’re getting closer each round. Really appreciate everyone sticking with us through it. We’ll keep sharing updates as more features are cleared and rolled out. apps.apple.com/us/app/lace-wa…

We heard you. Every post, every reply, every piece of feedback you left over the last 2 weeks. We have read it all. Lace 2.0 was a bigger step than it looked from the outside. It gave us something we did not have before: a foundation built to move fast, ship consistently and actually respond to what our community asks for. That foundation is already being put to work. We have been heads down and we are not done yet, but we wanted you to know that what is coming is a significant upgrade in every area that matters. Performance, usability, and a consistent flow of new features with your feedback shaping every step. This is not a patch. It is a new direction and we think you are going to love where it goes. More very soon…

Quick update on the Lace 2.0 release, we’ve been busy squashing bugs. What’s been fixed: • Storage issue affecting users with large or multiple wallets • DApp transaction crash • DApp connector window blocking transactions • Migration bug that could leave users stuck after setting a password What we’re working on: • Legacy (V1) password not recognised during migration (V1 → V2) • White screen issue (including reports with a single Cardano wallet restored) • Intermittent DApp connection issues • Ongoing usability improvements based on community feedback We know it’s been a bit bumpy for some users. Fixing this is the priority, and we’ll keep the updates coming.
