@WarmingHannah In all seriousness, the sage advice in this gif has fixed this a couple of times for me. As you say, cleaning/changing wires also helps. Once even changed the gold connector at the back of the pipette holder and that solved it until the next time I saw it …

*the 518 problem*. I’ll confess, I’m stumped. After 27 yrs of patching, this is making me go 🤪. Click pipette offset in VC and 💥 we hit 518. Changed every wire: earth, electrode. Model cell is fine. Was cured a month ago by cleaning salt residue in (now perfect) chamber. Help?
