Let’s be real here, Apple Intelligence was always meant to launch with iOS 19. Apple crumbled to investor pressure and had to rush their features, hence the massive delay. This makes sense when you look at how iOS 18 is a massive update even without Apple Intelligence, it was never meant to get AI features.

I'm moving to the iPhone Upgrade Program, so I need to figure out what to do about my wife's iPhone since she usually gets my hand-me-downs.
I thought about getting her the iPhone 16, so I set my iPhone 15 Pro to 60Hz to see if she'd notice. Her first comment: "this is laggy."
TL;DR normal people may not know about high-frame rate ProMotion, but they subconsciously sense it. This really better be the last iPhone stuck at 60Hz cause it's making for a legitimately worse user experience.
