The Hillsborough disaster told through the eyes of Des Lynam, who was in the stadium that afternoon for the BBC.
This was broadcast in 2009 for the 20th anniversary. Both powerful and heartbreaking.
A day that nobody will ever forget. 💔

“And so it came to pass.
‘The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.
There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”

A chairdre, members of sports clubs, rural soccer clubs in particular will know how hard it is to raise funds. All proceeds of this wacky idea go towards improving our clubs facilities for kids and the community in general. Vote for the Galway 1 😂. pay.sumup.com/b2c/QP54NCUD

I followed the Irish presidential race reasonably closely and man, Connolly is just awful. I’m truly sad for Ireland.

Catherine Connolly, an independent left-wing politician, has won the Irish presidential race. She becomes the nation’s third Female president.
