Happy birthday to the people’s Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE.@seyimakinde We wish you a day filled with joy and all the good people of Oyo State the very best.
Yesterday was emotional for me for two reasons,
I paid a visit to my Alma Mata, Babcock University where I attended the commendation service in honour of late Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin (B.sc, M.sc. PhD) an extraordinary alumnus & lecturer and the Chairman, Governing Council of Oyo State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Eleyele Ibadan.
I also had the opportunity to catch up with some of my old lecturers who helped shape me, especially Dr. Mrs. Tayo who at a time encouraged me to finish strong when I was distracted by the fact the I was the only one of all my siblings studying in Nigeria. At the time, I felt like I missed the opportunity to study abroad.
I remember her saying to me, “How’re you so certain that you’re not where God wants me to be?”
That question changed my whole perspective, encouraged me to refresh my priorities and pushed me to finish with grades better than I had imagined for myself. This gave me the launchpad I needed from there on.
I use this opportunity to really appreciate all teachers who play a special role in the lives of their students. Who encourage young Nigerians to thrive even in challenging circumstances.
Thank you Dr. Mrs. Tayo for the special role you played in my journey.
As Oyo State Coordinator of OID, he lived an exemplary life dedicated to others well-being. His acts of kindness were extraordinary, he will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts &prayers are with his wife Mrs Ijeoma Ogundiwin, children and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace
We express our sincere appreciation for Dr. Aaron Ogundiwin's invaluable contribution to building a strong, sustainable Oyo State. His unwavering support for the government's Omituntun agenda leaves a lasting impact on the quality of life for citizens.
OID sympathises with the government &people of Oyo State for the loss of an illustrious son & a rare gem, Dr Aaron Ogundiwin after a brief illness. He was an Associate Professor at Babcock University, & Chairman Governing Council of Oyo State College of Health Science &Technology
