@coach_soos @ClayTravis I think thats the point ....we already know people watching the NBA arent fans of the POTUS.....but the NBA business should want his supporters as well because they need their merch sales, tickets, streaming etc
English

@OIEdge @ClayTravis Idk what presidency you think hes having but embracing Trump would hurt the NBA more than it would bring in new viewers

English

@thomasdsp @coach_soos @ClayTravis Whatever you think his rating is the NBA net would be to draw more viewers
English

@coach_soos @OIEdge @ClayTravis And don't forget the NBA is a global brand now and let's say the approval rating of the current POTUS is hardly better Worldwide than it is in the US

deGrom is projected for 5.0 Ks today. Second highest on the board. Markets see an ace.
But his HR-prone rating is 0.91 — third highest on the slate. That's 30% above league average.
This is the pattern that keeps repeating in MLB pricing: high strikeout arms get treated as dominant regardless of their HR volatility. The market adjusts to the narrative. It's slower to adjust to the risk underneath.
A pitcher can miss bats and still give up damage. Those aren't contradictions — they're coexisting conditions. And they create very different game scripts than the line implies.

@nffc_tim @TheAthletic The argument for Luna is that he was capped a lot....the argument for Messi is that he led his team to a World Cup...and four champions league trophies.
English

@OIEdge @TheAthletic By your logic, Son and Messi shouldn't either.

Now that we know who will be representing the U.S. at the World Cup, let’s take a look at those who were among the closest to getting the career-changing call, only to come up short ...
Starting with Diego Luna.

I’m worried for Manchester City 🔵😬
Pep Guardiola leaving his job 12-months early is a massive red flag imo 🚩
Looks like Pep jumped ship before the Premier League attempt to sink it ⛴️

It is my understanding, there is a seriously confident expectation now for a decision on the Man City 115 case to be delivered in the coming weeks ( sometime in the summer latest ) All Premier League clubs await official communication.

Aaron Nola keeps ending up at the top of the HR-prone pitcher board.
Last Wednesday the model flagged him at 0.97. CIN hung 9 runs on him. Sal Stewart went 4-for-5 with a home run.
Today he's back at 0.95. Most HR-prone starter on the slate again.
Markets keep pricing Nola like a frontline ace. The model keeps seeing a pitcher who gives up the long ball at a rate 36% above league average.
At some point the narrative and the math have to reconcile. The question is whether the line reflects it before first pitch or after.

Boston's bullpen just hit zero.
Not low. Not tired. Zero. 9 relievers used, 299 pitches, 4 heavy-use arms — all in the last 3 days.
Meanwhile, the White Sox have 4 of the top 4 HR batters on today's board. Murakami at 10.4, Montgomery at 8.0, Vargas at 7.7, Romo at 7.5. The HR environment against their opponent's pitching is off the charts.
But CWS is also gassed — freshness score of 15.
So what do you get when both offenses can hit but neither bullpen can hold? Late-game chaos. And the market is pricing these games like the starters decide everything.
Markets adjust to aces fast. They're much slower to adjust to what happens in the 7th inning when the pen has nothing left.
