@tomhfh This isn’t how it works, it is breakeven for ages 80-84 (looks like 81) so that roughly correlates with life expectancy. You can make some other assumptions from that most likely, e.g. people who live longer probably were richer and paid more tax over their peak.

Look how much larger the red shaded area is compared to the green shaded area for your average representative UK resident. This is not sustainable.
