This appears to be a single-vehicle accident, and it is unknown how long the vehicle had been in the water before being reported. The vehicle was partially submerged and sideways, with the driver’s side sticking up out of the water where the driver was found.

Swift Response at Lake Overholser 1700 block E Overholser Dr. 3/12/26 @ 11:10 AM Oklahoma City Firefighters responded to a vehicle in the water at Lake Overholser. A nearby kayaker spotted the vehicle and quickly notified authorities.

The fire is now out. All 24 units were safely evacuated and one dog was rescued. The fire extended into a common attic space and spread throughout the building. 11:07am

was extinguished, firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul operations. Four apartment units sustained fire damage. There were no injuries reported. Fire investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
