@OM_GamerV @daishuzin @Adriksh i’ve noticed an inverse relationship between people like you on this app (who i can’t help but feel are either soulless or bots, technically both of the latter) where condescension is directly opposite to coherence and intelligence

@carterd1016 @daishuzin @Adriksh I said it doesn't "make them as pointers" which mean it relates to them differently, not that it doesn't use pointers... I also agreed with you earlier. I'm saying you should go back to English class kid cuase your reading sucks... And your debating even worst....

@OM_GamerV @daishuzin @Adriksh i’m not the one who brought up python? and you said it doesn’t use pointers which isn’t true. this is like rust where a str is literally just a pointer to static memory and doing equality is basically the same thing as doing a strcmp. i don’t understand what you’re trying to say

Dude, you do know the language in the picture is C, right? 😂 I’m not saying Python doesn’t use memory internally. I’m saying C exposes pointers directly and Python abstracts them away, so the equality model is not the same. In C, you’re comparing addresses unless you explicitly compare contents.

@OM_GamerV @daishuzin @Adriksh yeah but like that’s completely extraneous. like you point to a specific language’s abstraction, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t use pointers; it especially doesn’t mean anything in the context of C and low-level languages. you simply can’t compare strings like an int or struct

Sure, behind the scenes everything touches memory somehow. But that doesn’t make C and Python “the same.” In C, pointers are part of the language and you deal with them directly. In Python, that’s abstracted away, so for the user it’s not the same model at all. So yes, you are right :) internally there are references/memory allocations. But in terms of language behavior and equality, C and Python are totally different

@OM_GamerV @daishuzin @Adriksh i don’t know python, but i know doesn’t have pointers, so this is transparent to the user. i can almost guarantee to you that internally, a string is just a structure with a length and a pointer to the character array

@daishuzin @OM_GamerV @Adriksh strings in practically all languages are pointers. some languages make it easier to have the length built into the string type (a slice) and some use a sentinel to notate the end. i didn’t realize rust allowed == comparison, but outside of that.. even java doesn’t let you

Interviewer: An OTP is valid for exactly 30-60 seconds. Even though no one stored it anywhere. how does the server verify it without ever saving it?

@snlmzero @suni_code On the server side 🙂 The server doesn’t know you generated a code in advance. Only when you enter it does the server calculate the valid code for that moment and compare the two.

Such a great way to understand the basics of network!

@emeraald D) Bandwidth. Often confused with throughput, which is the actual data “processed” in a certain timeframe. “Width” is wide, “put” is placed. Easier to remember.

Whilst I'm aware this is poorly veiled rage bait, I'll say this as someone with an incredible wife and daughter. My life is fantastic, and having my daughter has been and continues to be fulfilling in a way I never could have imagined. We game together, have mini "LAN parties" and I love her company. Seeing her grow into a great person, and share in my gaming passion is a priceless privilege.

@ishowcybersec It’s honestly stupid that SOC analysts still have to beg IT/helpdesk just to block an IP, quarantine a host, or block a malicious URL.
