My take on Zhang Youxia’s downfall: I personally believe that the rumors I previously reported about Xi Jinping losing power or partially losing power are real. However, the CCP elders who initiated that soft coup—Hu Jintao, Wen Jiabao, and Zhang Youxia who cooperated with them—still wanted to preserve the Party, maintain the Party’s face, and ensure internal stability within the Party. They even hoped to return to the Deng Xiaoping era, which is unfeasible. Because they didn’t act in time to completely take down Xi Jinping, they missed their opportunity and were counterattacked by Xi Jinping. Last weekend, there were rumors that Xi Jinping was seriously ill and hospitalized. In hindsight, this was a smokescreen released by Xi Jinping to confuse his opponents. It’s said that Zhang Youxia, who let his guard down, only brought four guards to the meeting and was captured by more than a hundred people ambushed there. Some also say that Zhang Youxia did intend to take down Xi Jinping but was betrayed by an informant. Unlike the case of another vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, He Weidong, whose downfall was officially announced only seven months later, this time the news was released just a few days after, which precisely indicates that Xi Jinping succeeded in his surprise attack and had to announce it immediately to stabilize the situation. From a higher perspective, the destruction of the CCP is bound to happen. The anti-Xi faction within the CCP only wants to take down Xi Jinping while preserving the Communist Party, which is unfeasible. But perhaps this new development was meant to happen. Now no one in the CCP will fantasize about “reform” anymore. They should all give up hope. And perhaps more people will realize: There is no other way except to end the CCP. So, 2026 will further continue to accelerate the demise of the Communist Party. No matter how clever people are, they cannot defy heaven’s will.
