The recent Moltbook breach is another reminder of the recurring infrastructure risks that centralized trust presents. In many modern systems, a single operator, platform, or service is trusted with broad access to the data, credentials, and internal workflows of thousands of clients. That trust enables speed and convenience, but it also introduces the possibility for widespread exposure when something goes wrong. When trust and control are concentrated in one place, a failure doesn’t stay contained, it spreads to affect thousands of users and their sensitive data. Whether the cause is misconfiguration, compromised credentials, or human error, the pattern is always the same. So, as AI and software systems continue to become more interconnected and handle increasingly sensitive information, the risk presented by continuing to rely on implicit trust in operators and centralized control increases dramatically. Therefore, to eliminate this systemic risk at scale, security and privacy must be enforced by the underlying architecture. This is the principle behind Nesa.
