I am very happy to have been able to see The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒの消失) in theaters. The Haruhi anime series was one of the most impactful shows I watched growing up.

I know that AI has good and bad points, but Amazon now allows you to get an AI voice to read your books. I'm doing this mostly as a test , but it would be good to get some feedback . There are some tweaks that you can make, but I haven't done so yet. audible.com/pd/B0GMDCNSSF?…

@jeremiahgrayest Yeah that was my worry too. No dynamism. Same for tone. You can go through and make different sections faster or slower, but for now that's about it.

@ONeillCam Has a listen. I know its supposed to be an audiobook, not audiodrama but the AI reads every character with the same mannerisms and tone, so its hard to tell who is who

@magicknivez I have thought about it, or getting someone to do it, but I couldn't justify the cost. I think this is a good way to get into it. I don't think it's taking away voice actor work as I couldn't have done it that way anyway.

@magicknivez I have noticed a lot of Japanese concerts are based around but surprising the audience. No improv, low setlist variation, and so many rehearsals it makes me tear my hair out. But I may have a different perspective.

Got to attend the NIKKE Orchestra concert in Tokyo today. Impressed by the wide selection of songs, including Red Ash, which I did not expect from an Orchestra concert. But no ‘Sing for the Queen’??? Friend was sure we’d hear that. #NIKKEConcert2026 #NIKKE

@weee_desu Not sure if this will get lost in replies, but the only person that can bring you happiness is you. And the only person you can control that can bring other people to happiness is you. Look after yourself first, and if you have happiness to spare, share it with the world.

I worry about others too much that it affects my health sometimes.. I need to really cut outside forces and just focus on myself
