Today is the 9th -- and final? -- day with rain in this streak. Since May 19, nearly 2 inches has fallen in D.C. with considerably more accumulating in other spots. Only four years since 2000 have witnessed longer streaks. Most recently, 2024 had an 11-day run of rain. It doesn't always mean it's a rainy year. That's the case now but was particularly so in 2016. There was a 15-day streak of rain that year and it finished 10 inches below average. In 2018, D.C's wettest year on record, only had 8 days in a row had rain in its longest streak.

I think Dave Ramsey is wrong about cars. There is no way to assuredly buy a "cheap and reliable" used car. You can gamble on one, but you can't be sure that's what you'll get. It's smarter to buy new. It's *extremely* hard to save money without predictable monthly expenses.
