#LambtonOPP - Day 4 of the BKEJ March Break Youth Camp was full of hands-on learning and fun. Campers kicked things off with OPP FIS, learning about fingerprinting, casting, and how officers use specialized lighting to find evidence. WROPP Canine Unit followed, with PC Black and K9 partners Tackle and Celaena delivering a demonstration that campers loved. The Sarnia Command Post also stopped by, giving tours and sharing important fire safety messaging. The day wrapped up with gym games and sports, and campers will be ready for a good night’s sleep ahead of tomorrow’s graduation. #YouthEngagement ^jr

BRANT COUNTY OPP is reminding the community that it is National Impaired Driving Prevention Week. In Ontario, operating any motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs is illegal. This includes cars, trucks, boats, snowmobiles, and off‑road vehicles. Impaired driving carries serious and long-lasting consequences under the Criminal Code of Canada, which may include: Immediate licence suspension Vehicle impoundment Significant fines and penalties Mandatory education or treatment programs Installation of an ignition interlock device Jail time A permanent criminal record Everyone has a role to play in keeping our roads, trails, and waterways safe. Please plan ahead and never drive impaired. The OPP continues to prioritize road safety through proactive enforcement and public education. Impaired driving—whether by alcohol or drugs—remains one of the leading causes of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roadways. Anyone who suspects impaired driving is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately. Your actions could save lives. #BrantOPP^ec

#LambtonOPP - Day 3 of the BKEJ March Break Youth Camp was another great success! Campers finished their duck nesting boxes, even adding a special design to one. The group then joined Walpole Island Resource Protection for a walk to a local pond within the community, where one nesting box was installed, while the rest were donated to be placed throughout the sanctuary. Back at camp, participants created lung models and learned about staying healthy with Western University nursing students. As always, the day wrapped up with journaling and reflection. Stay tuned for tomorrow, it’s shaping up to be an exciting day! ^jr

Members of the #LambtonOPP hit the ice today alongside Sarnia Police Service, taking on Lambton College Criminal Justice students in a Charity Hockey Game. Police came away with a 3–2 win… but we’ll admit, the students had us skating a little harder than expected. Proceeds from the game will support the Sarnia-Lambton Bluewater Children’s Foundation, helping provide opportunities for local youth and families. Off the ice, members connected with the community through a recruiting display, chatting with families and those interested in a career in policing. Thanks to everyone who came out to support and to the students for keeping us on our toes. #communitypartnerships @LambtonCollege ^jr

On this week's "Wondering Wednesday" video #ElginOPP officer Beaumaster answer's questions about the National Impaired Driving Prevention Week that runs from March 15 to March 21, 2026. Team up with the police and educate everyone who does not know the consequences of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, alcohol, sleep deprivation, prescription drugs and distracted driving. If you witness impaired driving, please call 911 or *OPP on your mobile device. You could save a life. ^jcb

#WellingtonOPP - As Canadian Agricultural Safety Week continues, the Wellington OPP would like to remind everyone that rural road safety is a shared responsibility. Farmers operating equipment on roadways should ensure they are equipped with proper lighting and signage to remain clearly visible to motorists. Motorists travelling on rural roads should be prepared to encounter slow moving vehicles at any time. Don’t pass on hills, curves, bridges, intersections, or double lines and always give farm equipment plenty of space. Let’s help ensure everyone gets home safe! @wellingtncounty ^cm
