This week, ARPA-E joined Ocean Rainforest in Santa Barbara for our MacroSystems project. We were thrilled to showcase key innovations in the context of offshore cultivation of Giant kelp. After nine months in the water, all directly seeded lines showed canopy development.

@ORainforest Thanks for that, BUT it wasn’t a small, private affair (what does that even mean?). Over 1,400 dolphins slaughtered for no reason. And it happens regularly albeit on a smaller scale but equally as horrific. Will you fire your executive chairman? @World_Wildlife

@ORainforest What exactly does "private" mean in this context? It appeared to be a free-for-all, unless every piece of footage was doctored. I do not agree that it had "nothing to do" with your company's work. Your Chairman was photographed actively taking part in the slaughter.
