Coaches, we need to talk. Why are you running your 15-year-olds like they’re in a D1 program? High schoolers thrive on: • Less mileage (they’re still growing). • Progressive paces (build speed gradually). • A love for racing (not endless grind sessions). But too many programs are mini-Oregon knockoffs—and kids are paying the price. Train for high school success. Let college-level workouts stay where they belong: in college.

An incredible day for Shaylen! In her last high school race she ran a 34 second three mile PR at the 2A State Meet! She now holds a spot as one of Ottawa’s best cross country runners, and only 1 of 4 Ottawa Lady Pirates to have run at the state meet. Congratulations, Shaylen!
