I don't have a strong stats background but I did excel at algebra. Am I missing something or does this graph make no sense? Is this supposed to be half of a 4-quadrant matrix? or is the Y-axis "investment" below the intersection with the X-axis, but "receiving value" above?

@benjihyam @magdalenakala True - but then the pull of being in the same country as your family is still really strong. I've tried the nomad thing, and discovered that community and family were more important than an exotic life. Plus 8+ hr time diffs suck even if your whole job is asynchronous.

@OTroubleB @magdalenakala I meant out of the US to other countries :) for example: nomadlist.com I think other countries ease immigration regulations to attract new talent and people leave the US. Examples: Estonia, Portugal, etc.

Everyone thinks US housing prices will continue to go up overtime, but what if they go down? We’ve been in a declining rate environment for 30+ years & what if we have rising rates going forward? Combine that with aging baby boomers (📈supply) & remote work. Where’s the demand?

@benjihyam @magdalenakala I think smaller cities (like Madison) are going to explode because of this trend. I don't expect to see lots of remote workers flocking to the country. The cultural draw of city life is too strong.

@magdalenakala The point is that remote workers don’t need to live in cities and could potentially move out of the country or to rural areas. Yes there has been a shortage w/ people owning multiple homes, interest rates being low, people needing to live in certain areas for work

@TKDano Start in the middle - start wherever you know the meat of the article is. Come back to the beginning later. It'll usually be obvious how much context you need to provide in the intro to set up the great arguments you've just written.
