Meet Kolbi! A 2nd year ADC GA from Texas. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a dual bachelor’s degree in Business and Sports Management, and recently graduated with a master’s degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration.

Meet Malea! A 1st year ADC GA from Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Fitness Management and is now pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration.

Meet our Graduate Assistants! The Athletics Diversity Council Graduate Assistant Program was created in 2004 to provide a diverse group of GAs dedicated on advancing people, culture, and belonging in athletics. We are excited for you to get to know our GA’s!

Nov. 20 marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual observance where we recognize and honor the lives in the transgender community that have been lost due to anti-transgender violence. #TransDayOfRemembrance

◽ There are 574 federally recognized tribes in the United States, with 39 of these tribes located in Oklahoma. ◽ The centerpiece of the Oklahoma state flag is a traditional buffalo skin shield of the Osage Nation. ◽"Indian Jack” Jacobs, Muscogee Creek, started at both quarterback and punter at the University of Oklahoma. He resides in the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and still holds passing and punting records at OU.

November is Native American Heritage Month, and we want to share some fast facts to educate and celebrate Native Americans in Oklahoma 🧵 ◽ Thirty-nine tribal headquarters and members of at least 67 tribes make their home within the state's borders. ◽ More than 141,000 Cherokee Nation citizens reside within the tribe's reservation boundaries in northeastern Oklahoma. ◽The earliest tribe in Oklahoma was known as the Clovis and Folsom culture, which called the area home between 11,000 and 12,000 years ago.
