@heyit5sam @tomhwilliams23 just wont be great for the new manager as you know fans will kick off about it being the wrong decision despite us saying leeds away is a free hit. It would of been a free hit with des in charge but people will be quick to point out the managerial change if we lose to leeds

@heyit5sam @tomhwilliams23 I'd take rowett over someone like paddy mccarthy purely down to championship experience, however, any appointment even close to those two is a massive step backwards and I have no idea what the board are thinking if they appoint 80% of the selection we've seen on the betting odds

Everyone moaning saying it’s a league 1 squad. 12 months ago we were worried about losing 80% of the squad to championship teams. So are they not good enough or are they out of form and low on confidence? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe Des couldn’t get the best out of them but some else will #OUFC

@heyit5sam @tomhwilliams23 this is why the sacking is even more questionable then if just taking into account the our club stuff, getting these managers of similar calibre might be quite difficult if they see it as too risky, feels like its gonna be a situation where we are gonna miss what we had very fast

@heyit5sam @tomhwilliams23 yeah it probably was. ill take your word for that but regardless, his team wasnt performing, that was atleast one of the reasons, and as much as I love oxford and hope we stay up its a huge task and its probably more likely we go down and thats a huge stock risk to him id imagine

How it needs to look after January. Send Ebiowei and Nelson back, Goodwin, Thorniley, Edwards to leave, and either sell Leigh or don't register Bennett, not fussed which, to get around registration. If the board are serious about being a "top 30 club" now is the time to show it.

@DesBuckingham Never wanted a manager to go to another club and make our board regret a decision as much as I do now. You deserved a lot better and more of a chance and the saddest part is you not getting that with us out of all clubs. all the best for the future des.
