Meet OUR Generation, a PEACEPLUS-funded project creating lasting change for children, young people, and communities across the region. Building on the success of @amhNI's PEACE IV-funded project, OUR Generation is tackling the intergenerational impact of trauma and fostering emotional resilience and peace for generations to come. Through a cross border, interregional approach, the project will: • Increase mental health literacy among children and young people. • Enhance emotional resilience and leadership skills. • Build the capacity of youth workers, teachers, and childcare practitioners. The young people taking part in OUR Generation’s Joint Training Schemes will be empowered to form positive relationships across communities and play an active role in improving good relations and building peace. The project applies innovative frameworks including Trauma Informed Practice and ACEs in youth work, alongside Social Identity Perspective as a mechanism for peacebuilding. These approaches will deliver prevention, early intervention, and recovery programmes aligned with best practice.
