Year 1 Oak class had a great first ‘Book Buddies’ session with Year 4 Otter class. We enjoyed sharing our library books and other stories and we can’t wait to read with them again soon. Thank you Year 4.
Oak class have enjoyed using our rekenreks to support our work with numbers up to 20. We had a very successful problem solving lesson today. Well done Oak Class.
Thank you for coming to our open afternoon sessions. It was a busy but exciting time and we hope that you enjoyed listening to your children singing and creating some Christmas arts and crafts together. The second session was definitely standing room only!
Yesterday, we performed our puppet show ‘The Gingerbread Man’ to Widey pre-school. The pre-school asked us to create puppets for the story as part of our DT work. They were a great audience and we enjoyed making our puppets and performing to them.

We had a special visit from Mrs Llewellyn today who was really impressed with our recounts from our Trip to the Box. Ask us about why we are so proud of our independent writing. Amazing work and effort!

A busy week in Oak class this week. We have been learning all about money. We had great fun making purchases in a shop and we have had to ‘buy’ our snack all week!

We have been learning about Pablo Picasso. We have been learning to draw King Charles III using the techniques Picasso used. We can’t wait to paint them tomorrow and share our finished portraits.
