Impeaching the president is okay, matter of fact, he’s committed impeachable offenses. Is it a practical process that will yield results? No. Can’t even Marshall numbers for the preliminary stage.
It’s a sisyphean task, fact.

Hon NJeri Maina, women rep, Kirinyaga, an active UDA party member, and she's only in DCP for "presence is not submission", argues that impeaching Ruto is not okay and states that no more than 50 MPs would sign it. Meaning out of 290 MPs, only less than 50 are with Wanjiiku.

I have seen a section of Kenyans calling on parliament to impeach the president. Do you think the National Assembly would have the balls for that?
Let’s make a wild assumption they would. Have you actually bothered to inform yourselves on the process?

I will repeat a section of my earlier post for your benefit:
"Who among the MPs is willing to append their name and signature to such a motion? We already know the motion most likely won’t make it to the floor of the NA. That is not even the point anymore. The point is identifying:
* Who signs;
* Who supports;
* Who hides;
* Who pretends;
* Who defends the status quo while claiming to stand with wananchi.
The non-supporters become politically identifiable. That is the real accountability mechanism."
So, we know he won't be impeached, but we need the names of members who are in his corner pretending to be in the corner of Mwananchi.

And yes, Parliament procedures also require:
* A formally drafted motion;
* Supporting signatures from at least one-third of MPs before tabling;
* Debate and voting thresholds in both Houses;
* Compliance with Standing Orders and Speaker approval before the motion reaches the floor.
But the real question is:
Who among the MPs is willing to append their name and signature to such a motion?

We must scrap interest on HELB loans. Our youth deserve opportunity, not debt. When jobs are scarce, imposing a 4% interest burden is unjust especially on loans funded by taxpayers. President Ruto must act on this now.
