99.9% of people wouldnt have gone to NY anyway.

I’m gonna use this as fuel for a quick rant (apologies 😂)
Been deep into Pokémon my whole life, mostly in-person. Only recently started engaging with the online community.
What stands out? The wild FOMO a lot of folks let control them. TCG players quick to call anything that doesn’t match their vibe “scalpers.” GO players having full meltdowns over events that make them leave the house or that were tone-deaf at worst but not that deep.
Watched the stream, got invited to a remote raid, it flopped cause only like 5/20 brought a mega. Wasn’t mad just said “it is what it is, I’ll get my boi this weekend.”
Then I find out everyone who was invited in-person got a shundo special background Mewtwo. First thought? “HELL YEAH, happy for them!”
Hop on X after and people are foaming at the mouth…
Am I missing something? Why the outrage when somebody else wins?

I’ve been biting my tongue on this but I guess I’ll say my peace: Everyone’s opinion is valid. This guy said it perfectly 🙏🏻 Niantic/Scopely, You messed up by marketing and promoting what should have been a discreet, private content creators event. Instead, you publicized to a market of high demand and low supply. Even I experienced fomo watching my friends have the time of their life celebrating something so close to our hearts. Fans, leave the deserving & hardworking content creators alone 🙄 it’s not their fault we feel left out. You’re barking up the wrong tree & these creators deserve to enjoy their top tier memory 🙏🏻 On that note… when we gettin’ our guaranteed hundos? 👀

That was my first thought when I get on X and saw people melting down. Like jeez the people who got invited worked hard for that, and even if they didn’t. It’s just a mewtwo. Slight tone deaf event but this week has been a blast on PoGo soo 🤷🏾♂️

Pokémon Champions should definitely do stuff like this, I know there’s fans for BSS but man I’d much rather have these fun events than a singles ladder. Got masters in singles and honestly I don’t think I ever want to do that again. (OG 6v6 guy)
