Google's search engine optimization also has its own safeguards in place. So, if you Google the agency's name + Twitter to fact check the account, it tends to favor the actual non-bot accounts AND the agency website might appear (but not always).

You can also check to see how old an account is. For us, this account has been around since 2011. Some government accounts are newer, though. You can also check to see that government accounts are usually following each other, as well.
