Here’s an interesting end of NHL season betting angle👇 There’s only three days left of the regular season and most teams have nothing left to play for BUT There are 100% individuals that will be competing hard down the stretch - I’m talking about the young guys that were called up late and will be fighting for roster spots next season. With what they have on the line, you could expect a higher compete level relative to veterans on eliminated teams who are already regulars in the league. For example, the Islanders have called up Victor Eklund for their final game. He was drafted 16th overall last year and has posted 9 points in his first 7 AHL games. Guys like this will want to leave an impression and only have 1-2 games this season to do it. They will likely have good value for goals and points (if available). Another example would be Ilya Protas who I’ve been loudly backing already. The Caps are eliminated but he has one more game to show he belongs coming into training camp next season. Comment a player or players that fall into this category in the final couple games - might help people find some value!
