@81Cowboys @Snyphe @Phillies No retard. They did not review it. It is not a reviewable play. The fact that so many Astros fans claim they reviewed it and confirmed the call just goes to show you all weren’t watching.

@Slainte713 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Astros cheated again, no respect for the game, no sportsmanship, no humility, and still no WS titles that don’t involve verified, on-video cheating. It’s not anger; we played amazing in the post season. It’s sadness the Astros ruin the sport for everyone by cheating at all costs

@ObserverOpal @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Yes, I agree umpires are inconsistent, but that ball is no where near the strike zone. I understand you are really angry, but the Phillies were never supposed to win this series. The Astros pitching was just too good. It will be okay.

@NBCSPhilly I love how Astros fans think this was in the strike zone but the ball that Maldonado moved his elbow into, from directly over the plate to the inside corner, was not.

@SouthardPj @Slainte713 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies He didn’t “move his arm back to avoid the pitch.” He moved his elbow 1-2” (into the path of the ball) lazily so as to get hit, not to avoid getting hit. Avoiding the pitch would’ve involved a little more effort or jumpiness. Unbelievably deluded take LOL

@ObserverOpal @Aranyszin @CodifyBaseball So funny listening to people make excuses because they did it the whole time they were down which I think is real convenient they got caught the first game and somehow missed it the second game I hadn't figured that out that they did it both games they tried it they were down

@SouthardPj @Slainte713 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies I think a wild pitch in the dirt that hit someone’s FOOT is a little different from a pitch at the belt on the inside corner, very first batter after falling behind 0-1. The Maldonado one was borderline strike zone on an ump who called one on Castellanos low and inside 4”

@dairish84 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Never like cheating whenever it happens. But the Phils did not cheat tonight. The Astros did. Dirty tactics that lack integrity, honesty & balls changed everything. Just ADMIT IT, Maldonado said it himself after the game, he HOPED to get hit & therefore made 0 effort to dodge.

@Slainte713 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Same ump, same night called a pitch a STRIKE on Castellanos that was WAY farther inside and below the knees. Your cute graphic I guess didn’t apply at that crucial moment. Nor does it change the fact that Maldonado moving his elbow 1” doesn’t constitute getting out of the way

@dairish84 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Nah dude I don’t stand for cheating. Much less for teams that repeatedly cheat, get caught on video every time, fall behind in game 6 then use gamesmanship to steal a base and disrupt the momentum. It’s a matter of sportsmanship, and Maldonado and the Astros simply have NONE

@Slainte713 @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies Crowding the plate is a privilege that comes with a risk. Doesn’t give you permission to block the strike zone then retreat an inch, still have your elbow over the corner of the plate and act like that was an effort to dodge. Just be honest, he intentionally let that ball hit him

@ObserverOpal @CoachBawldy @Htown4life_ @astros @Phillies If a pitcher is pitching inside you crowd the plate. It has been taught this way for decades. Only casuals don’t know this. The officials only call it when the batters lean forward into the pitches path. Maldonado brought his arm back towards his body. Have a great night.
