@Dusty3080467325 My family bought from the same retailer for 45+ years. I went price shopping and found out they were considerably higher in price than the competitors. There’s no reward for loyalty anymore.

A note from a fellow sophisticate- The $280,000 Ransom Note If your ag retailer loves you, you’re probably overpaying them. The first year I took over our family row-crop operation, I sat down with a seed corn bill that made my stomach turn: $280,000 for 1,300 acres. We were planting 100% smart-stacked corn, running corn-on-corn, and blanket applying insecticide on every single acre. The local ag retailer told us it was the only way to protect our yield. I didn't see protection. I saw a ransom note. When you blanket apply and over-stack out of habit, nature builds a tolerance to your laziness. You lose your levers. Worse, you start funding the retailer’s retirement instead of your own family's legacy. So, I split the planter and trusted the dirt over the salesman. I executed a ruthless operational audit: 1. Broke the Chain: We introduced soybeans, moving to a strict 50/50 rotation. 2. Cut the Upgrades: We switched to non-GMO corn, dropping seed costs from $300+ a bag to around $115. 3. Verified the Threat: We stopped blanket applying and actually tested for insect pressure before writing the check for chemical. The Result? Our seed bill plummeted from $280,000 to $75,000. Our APH (Actual Production History) jumped from 175 to over 220 bushels per acre over a few years. The local retailer got so defensive they called a "summit" with the seed company’s regional managers to try and talk me back onto the reservation. They weren't worried about my soil health. They were worried about their bottom line. I was told I would ruin their seed sales business 😂 In a commodity business, your biggest lever is your expense line. If your advisors get uncomfortable when you start asking for the raw math, they aren't your partners. They’re stakeholders in your struggle. Stop buying their loyalty. Start buying from people you can trust !!!

🚨🇨🇦 Khalistani Immigrant Gets Light Treatment for Reckless Gun Use in Canada 24-year-old Gurkanwal Singh pleaded guilty to careless use of a firearm in Bracebridge court. He entered Canada on a work permit, got a PAL gun licence, filmed himself wildly shooting rifles and shotguns from his Jeep, and off a bridge in MacTier. His Khalistani lawyer fought hard for an absolute discharge, so he faces ZERO punishment. The Crown ordered a $1,000 fine and gun forfeiture. Defence pushed to let him walk with no record.

Khalistanis have badly misguided Canadians by painting their movement as a “freedom struggle.” Canada already paid the ultimate price: 329 Canadians murdered in the 1985 Air India bombing. We see the pattern of Khalistan-backed extremism and gang activity turning Canadian cities into zones of fear and violence. These radicals and their associates use intimidation, illegal firearms, and targeted attacks to control communities while hiding behind separatist ideology. We don't want endless foreign grievance politics importing 40-year-old feuds.

@buperac The newer policies of elevators are partially to blame. Years ago as soon as I got I out of the truck they would give you the thumbs up to dump. Now you have to wait in the office for 10+ minutes.

Elevator lineups have always been on my radar for the biggest cost efficiency. The fact that a farmer sits in a lineup for hours logging NPT in this day and age is insane. Elevators should adopt some type of software or system that either schedules deliveries or frequently updates the wait time. A simple live streaming camera would be adequate.
Tork@TorkWhisler

Ask a farmer what it cost to build something himself and he'll tell you nothing. He spent three weeks in the shop, burned fuel, used material, wore down equipment. The bill is never nothing. Farmers are just the worst in the world at valuing their own time.

@JRoland_ I’m still pissed they diluted. They have $4.2 billion. Why do they need another $400 million if they don’t have any plans to use it?
