@im_yeyito @irl_danB I did a lot of Claude -p playing around with making my own harnesses and I do remember it was kind of the "unspoken trick" that if you didn't put in an API key it'd just fall back to your subscription lol Yeah that timeline seems accurate. Openclaw made a mess

@ObsidianLib @irl_danB For the longest time -p/agentsdk were encouraged in the docs and public comms for these types of uses. Post openclaw ban the ambiguity started, and just now it was lights out. I did make it seem like it was more sudden than it actually was though, that's my bad!

@im_yeyito @irl_danB Weren't sdk and -p users begging for answers for months on if it's okay to use at subsidized rates because Anthropic never took an explicit position on it until now? That doesn't sound like them saying it was OK in the past.

@irl_danB you're mixing two things here: Is it reasonable of them to price things however they want? Yes, I agree with you there. Is it reasonable of them to say programmatic usage of their tools is OK and billed at the subsidized rates, then pull the rug? hell no.

It’s 2018 and your coworker just sent you a 400 line pull request. You get a cup of coffee and sit down to review it. It’s beautiful. Elegant micro-refactors. Crispy method names. You catch a few things, but that’s ok. It’s part of the dance. They didn’t consider extensibility on part of their API. Here’s a comment buddy. They respond in an hour saying they think we should do one piece differently than your comment. Hey let’s jump into a room and figure it out. We can’t just agree to disagree, this code is too important. The PR merges and goes to prod. You feel a shared sense of ownership and accomplishment. That night you go to sleep and dream of that code. You can still see the shapes of it on the backs of your eyelids, your IDE syntax highlighting sparking neurons in your reptile brain. You go to work the next day ready to go. You understand the system. N is your foundation. Time to build n+1.

The s&box situation is horribly depressing, I had early access and yeah. Not good. Writing was on the wall years ago. I don’t get why all this dev time went to making new assets when you had the entire asset repository of RUST to make shit from that carries the similar grungy…

@_trundler Easy to be pessimistic when I can get kicked in the balls for 20 dollars with nothing content. If they wanted to release an engine, release it as an engine - not a “successor” to gmod. Literally all the games I’ve checked out look like shovelware.

@RealRiddimHours SC is probably the most fun of all of the choices tbh because it's 8dof instead of 6dof so you have to rethink your how flying works. WT SB is really fun but yeah it's like 90% preparing for 10% of action. But the action is so good. Add me on steam steamcommunity.com/id/fiffle/
