@im_yeyito @irl_danB I did a lot of Claude -p playing around with making my own harnesses and I do remember it was kind of the "unspoken trick" that if you didn't put in an API key it'd just fall back to your subscription lol
Yeah that timeline seems accurate. Openclaw made a mess
English

@ObsidianLib @irl_danB For the longest time -p/agentsdk were encouraged in the docs and public comms for these types of uses. Post openclaw ban the ambiguity started, and just now it was lights out.
I did make it seem like it was more sudden than it actually was though, that's my bad!
English

@im_yeyito @irl_danB Weren't sdk and -p users begging for answers for months on if it's okay to use at subsidized rates because Anthropic never took an explicit position on it until now? That doesn't sound like them saying it was OK in the past.
English

@shoyer @conductor_build If your application was simply wrapping Claude code in a nicer GUI, then it solved a temporary gap in UI/UX and should be thought of as ephemeral
English

Wow, this is incredibly disappointing to hear from Anthropic -- basically a death sentence for Claude in @conductor_build, which simply wraps Claude Code in a nicer GUI. Not sure how it got lumped in with autonomous agents like OpenClaw.
ClaudeDevs@ClaudeDevs
This means that third-party tools built on the Agent SDK like Conductor and OpenClaw work with your Claude plan, but will draw from your credit the same way your own scripts do.

@SOntheotherside @staysaasy new /goal review the codebase and find a way to cut that in half
English

@staysaasy 229k loc of code. CODEX loves /goal worked for 1h
brotha how am i about to review that shit
English

It’s 2018 and your coworker just sent you a 400 line pull request.
You get a cup of coffee and sit down to review it.
It’s beautiful. Elegant micro-refactors. Crispy method names.
You catch a few things, but that’s ok. It’s part of the dance. They didn’t consider extensibility on part of their API. Here’s a comment buddy.
They respond in an hour saying they think we should do one piece differently than your comment. Hey let’s jump into a room and figure it out. We can’t just agree to disagree, this code is too important.
The PR merges and goes to prod. You feel a shared sense of ownership and accomplishment.
That night you go to sleep and dream of that code. You can still see the shapes of it on the backs of your eyelids, your IDE syntax highlighting sparking neurons in your reptile brain.
You go to work the next day ready to go. You understand the system. N is your foundation. Time to build n+1.

@doomspoons @_trundler What's my vested interest I'm literally making open source shit for free? It's not like there's a profit incentive, the tools I'm making aren't eligible for the playfund. But you knew that, right?
English

@ObsidianLib @_trundler Why would I respond to someone who has a personal vested interest in this? You’ve made your mind up already, what’s the point?
English

@doomspoons @_trundler so s&box is bad because it's not quite at the parity of engines that have existed for 20+ years? Is that really what we're going with? Not to mention you can publish a standalone game directly onto Steam...
English

@ObsidianLib @_trundler Anything you’ve made in s&box can soar on other platforms. It’s like driving a car with 3 wheels instead of 4. You’re actively gimping yourself.
English

@doomspoons @_trundler lol being mad that you misunderstood what the point of s&box is
English

@_trundler Easy to be pessimistic when I can get kicked in the balls for 20 dollars with nothing content. If they wanted to release an engine, release it as an engine - not a “successor” to gmod.
Literally all the games I’ve checked out look like shovelware.

@RealRiddimHours SC is probably the most fun of all of the choices tbh because it's 8dof instead of 6dof so you have to rethink your how flying works. WT SB is really fun but yeah it's like 90% preparing for 10% of action. But the action is so good. Add me on steam steamcommunity.com/id/fiffle/
English

@RealRiddimHours And when I say IL2 is hard, flying isn't terrible but multiplayer against actual players is like getting your face ripped off constantly lol
English

@RealRiddimHours IL2 is really hard... I opted for War Thunder simulator mode. Also Star Citizen is a ton of fun. Couldn't find my own footage but this is accurate:
youtu.be/exS2XxcEEPw?si…
Ya if u wanna flight sim I have arma, SC, ED, WT, IL2, etc.
