It's insane how something from 2023 can feel so nostalgic
Okay now I actually am sad lmao ugh

@beicksquad79219 @7700saint But the pay off felt so worth it. Bloodline felt like a 3 year long movie but it had a satisfying end and after that they just had no idea where to go
English

@7700saint This was the start of the downfall of WWE for me, sacrificed a year of a title run to extend Roman’s title run lol

@ObsidianTotalus @TunedIntoTennis Not this year. Sinner and Alcaraz and Ben hasn’t proven he can beat Zverev

@Falkenby @Hybridathlete I have literally never heard this in my life. During Covid times of course people were hesitant because Covid itself is linked to myocarditis but I've never heard it linked to sore throats in a general sense.
English

@Hybridathlete Dont exercise with a sore throat. At all. I know multiple people who have had myocarditis from it, including myself.
You know this and everyone knows this but for some dumb ass reason people seem to somehow believe it actually is not real. Astounding.

Unfortunately, the shorts were not enough.
Here’s a lesson for you that’s much easier said than done:
Don’t race when you know you shouldn’t. 🙄
17:28 for the 5k, well off where I think I’m at right now (~16:45).
Been mildly sick for the past couple days, nothing bad at all, but a bit sick with some congestion, sore throat, etc. Felt good enough this morning that I would have done my normal sub threshold workout today if it was a normal training day.
But I really wanted to race and I convinced myself I felt good enough to race this morning.
After mile 1 (5:29) I knew I wasn’t mentally or physically in a place to give it a full race effort so dropped pace/effort a bit (5:45/mi) to more of a hard 8/10 effort vs a full all out race effort.
Avg and MHR ended up being just about 10bpm lower than it was on previous all out 5ks.
I’m not sick enough where I think this race will extend recovery or affect my training next week, but in hindsight, I shouldn’t have done it.
But sometimes you can’t really know until you try.
That said, I was 90% sure it wasn’t going to go well. 😂
Next race is an 8k in 3 weeks.

Hybrid Athlete Guy@Hybridathlete
Big news: For the first time ever, I will be wearing 3” running shorts in my race today, should be worth at least 20 seconds, right? Also, decided to do the 5k. Plan is to go out in 5:20 and hang on.

@Hybridathlete As long as you didn't hurt yourself then it's just "all data" as they say. No harm, no foul. Good try.
