@HertaMeisters @Obsidrius TLDR; I believe her whole arc is going to be learning that the answer to life has been inside her all along—her humanity—and never did truly lie within divinity.
Divinity is a part of life, yes, but it is not everything. Just like no one aeon presides over all.

Gotta say the more we learn about Aeons the more I hope Ruan Mei never achieves her goal. Because to be an Aeon is to be a rigid concept with no real freedom. Maybe I'm selfish but I don't want Ruan Mei to become some entity bound to her path with no true agency

@GaymerEi @ruan_meifan00 Like the trauma set in and she has just accepted traumatized Mei as her default state. Despite clearly making strides towards growing and healing; she herself seems to think she has been in stasis since the trauma

The thing with Hoyo’s writing is that what the characters say and believe is not necessarily what is true, but the fandom takes everything they say at face value. If you understand that everyone is bit of an unreliable narrator sometimes, a lot more things make sense.

@ruan_meifan00 @GaymerEi Me too! She has so much depth and potential to explores! I want to learn more about her and Herta. Independent from shipping I just adore both characters. I think they just get even more interesting as a pair, since it's two women who are quite antisocial.

@ruan_meifan00 @GaymerEi Yeah, along with those walls I think that she has internalized her trauma. What I mean is that when she was young she likely did feel very detached and empty. But she just has decided that's her default state and never seems to reevaluate it. Which is very human.

See at first I was thinking the Ruanherta Joycons are backwards. Because the purple is on the left and the teal on the right. But I realize that works better. Since Ruan Mei seems to favor her left hand that's the one that holds the Herta joycon. I'm a genius
