Gave gluten-free baking a shot for the first time this weekend. My first batch of cookies was a disaster, but I just tried one from my third batch and it’s perfect. So satisfying! I love problem-solving!

Day 46. She once had to be smart enough and resourceful enough to survive living outside. Yesterday, she got stuck behind the washing machine.

This afternoon I noticed my favorite stray was limping, with punctures on her leg & neck. The first two attempts at loading her into a carrier were a disaster & I worried she’d never trust me again. But I had a good cry, tried a third time, & now we’re at the emergency vet.
