We recently concluded a highly successful birding and mammal tour with a private group from Denmark, observing over 270 species of birds in 24 days (including 5 days to Khurkh River Valley). This adult male Eversmann's Redstart photographed in Khangai Mountain during the trip.

Maghreb Owl from Bouafroune Forest, near Djimla in Algeria earlier this month. Sadly, it seems likely that despite vocal, genetic and morphological differences, it will be re-lumped with Tawny Owl in the coming months.

And one last Soft-plumaged Petrel from the trip across the South Atlantic. This species was widespread being a fellow traveler through most of our passage; this individual was southeast of Tristan da Cunha.
