@OctopusPunchDev I see the appeal and the effect does look cool, but I find myself a bit too distracted by it 😅 I think a simple "boing" sound effect could be enough. You're right though, I bet it would look great in cutscenes! Awesome work so far 💪

Was testing out closed captions as particles but not really feeling it, feels like it's commanding my attention, though defintely something to keep for cutscenes maybe? #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev

@OctopusPunchDev Captions grab attention, try subtle timing or a simple jump cue

@Nanocyde Yeah was leaning more on comic book with this as a small test, definitely too distracting for gameplay actions 😂

@OctopusPunchDev While cool in concept, the text takes my eyes away from the character. I think a simple jump animation like those seen in cartoons would work best. I like the look and feel of everything else in the scene.
