I watched all of Invincible. On paper not my kind of show, but ended up really enjoying it. Not really sure why, but mostly I think I like messy alliances and character dynamics. So everyone in that show I think fit that really nice. Kind of reminds me of Arc Rise Fantasia.

Watched Barbie and the Three Musketeers. Pretty neat to see how the game pulled inspiration from the show for some mechanics, even if it was just from one single scene. The dialog kind of reminds me of old school Castlevania. Very like over the top and overacted in a fun way.

@b00mboxmonkey @AzureZero13 I believe they're doing a no-time limit free trial soon, where you can play the game to level 75 without paying. So it might be worth just trying that out before you decide to purchase it. Casue yeah it is a doosey to start.

The weird thing about watching more influential movies from the 80's recently is realizing just how many games just rip things directly from them lol. It's kind of silly to see, but also weirdly disappointing in some ways.

Star Wolf fights are still pretty rad though. Think I kind of forgot I generally just like playing/seeing kind of space ship dogfights . In some weird ways, they feel more exciting on Wii U cause it's a much harder game to control making them actually difficult lol. It's OK.

Have a ton of respect for Star Fox Zero's attempt at using the gamepad. But somehow every implementation has almost zero impact and makes the game feel worse. I usually can look past faulty implementation if the ideas seem clear, but man I have no idea what to make of it.

Next day I went to a Japanese rock garden in the area which was really cute, but maybe not worth the $14 entrance fee lol. You're seeing most of the park here. Seems like they host JP-style festival/events there though which could be fun.

I missed a good chunk of them since they were the opener and I was in line lol. The main band was some group called Good Kid. They had some fun gimmicks like having jack box up on stage during set up, and bringing someone on stage to play Guitar hero during one of their songs

Kind of out of the blue took a random road trip down to Phoenix. I wanted to try to go to a concert this year, and Inoha is one of first bands I've latched onto since embracing music so I just got up and went. Trips is probably my favorite songs by them. youtube.com/watch?v=IW7fK5…

The last month has been a huge upswing in my life so think I want to start posting more again. My life has been very touch grass (though sometimes virtually) and enjoying some more normie-ish stuff, so not sure how much video game stuff will show up.
