@john_ledrew @19challenger19 Oh my! What an amazing top on that Les Paul.

I see all these wild comments, he couldn’t hear the monitor, he would’ve moved then.
He’s improvising, he is not. He NEVER improvises this solo.
My opinion may be just as wrong as the rest of yours. But here goes.
He hits a wrong note at around 21, 20 seconds on the bottom of the video. From there he’s just not able to get back on. He keeps trying to. IMO
The Doctor@DrGuitar
No big deal. It happens. He messed up his solo once and it’s trending. He’s played thousands of shows.

@UndercoverIndy My Strats and Teles definitely have a place in my collection, but they don't even come close to my Gibsons.

I disagree. The Stratocaster is about as plain Jane as you can possibly get. Just a plank of Alder with a bolt on neck. Nothing special about them at all. They were designed for ease of manufacture for mass production. Leo approached the guitar as a functional, modular tool that could be stamped, routed, and assembled as efficiently as a Model T. For example Fender has produced an estimated 15 to 20 million Stratocasters since 1954, compared to an estimated 3 to 4 million Les Pauls since 1952. I'm not knocking the brand just merely stating a fact. You do you, but I'm not biting. 🤷♀️

@UndercoverIndy "Fender didn't win any style contests that's for sure." The Stratocaster's appearance turned heads in 1954 and looks modern 72 years later. One reason so many companies stole the design is because it looks so good.

@Fender If you continue down this course I will never buy another one of your products ever again and I am not alone.

And the final one in my collection. My #1 that rules all of the rest. I bought this 2016 Les Paul Standard online brand new and I hated it. Circuit board wiring, push-pull pots and crappy pick ups, but I loved the top and the Grover locking tuners. Instead of trading it I decided to gut it and rebuild it. I found a 50's style wiring harness with real Bumble Bee caps and 500k CTS pots. Slapped some Seymour Duncan Alnico II Slashers in there and this thing came alive. It's as close as I'll ever come to a real burst. I have yet to play another Les Paul that sounds this good. That's it! I have other guitars but they aren't worthy of documenting and sit in cases ready to be sold or traded. This was fun.

@OddGuitarMan That's a pretty girl!
We're in Grand Rapids right now.
We live 3 hours North.
I needed some work done on a PRS guitar, Firehouse Guitars did a fine job.
They are near your shop.
Great store if you ever come up here.

Next up in my collection. My recently purchased Gibson ES-335 Figured. Other than my #1, which will be the next and last guitar that I show in this series, is an absolute pleasure to play. When you first start playing guitar you can only dream of these and this one at least in my opinion was worth every penny. Cause they are expensive.

@FarmerGuyDan 2021. The great thing about these guitars is they make them exactly the same way as they did in 1959.
English

@OddGuitarMan I remember when you first posted about buying it last month. Looks amazing! What year is it?

Next in my collection are my steel string acoustics. I love @TaylorGuitars. I started playing guitar 10 years ago. The first 4-5 years were nothing but acoustic. On the left is a 214CE that I went everywhere with. I later upgraded to a 314 CE with X bracing. Huge difference in playability.

The "furniture" that my amps were on was starting to crack from the weight. So I thought I would try this Pro Rack amp head system from @SweetwaterSound. Bitching product! I highly recommend. I have an addition on backorder that attaches to the left for my combos.

@OddGuitarMan Dude! Played a 339 at the Gibson Garage few weeks ago and it was my favorite Gibson I’ve played.
The size was just right up my alley. Am in the market for one now, unfortunately .
Highly suggest a visit if you haven’t yet!
