frame data is interaction based in reality, you did an i15 move at +5 meaning the interaction is zero, not plus. players need to study frame data and tekken system mechanics a bit more i think. if you did 2 jab after 2,3, that interaction would be +4 since 2 is i11.

@Capo_eirista Playing Raven for so long has rotten your brain and perception of the game. I am NOT neutral after Jack 2,3 I am at +5. I choose a i15 mid. Means my opponent can only counter me with a powercrush, anything else I counter. But Lili moves ignore any logic or frame disadvantage

@OddShacod yes, and you’re not understanding that frames are interaction based, which is why people often complain that they’re plus yet get beat in an interaction. frame data isn’t calculated using neutral, it’s calculated using the quickest attack that the opponent can retaliate with.

so how did we come to the conclusion that an i20 high would be -4 after being +16? using i10 as the baseline, stop this nonsense please. “10f isn’t the only important number” and then proceeds to list a frame calculation that uses i10 at the core. LOL get off twitter

@Capo_eirista I don't think you should view frames like this, 10f isn't the only important number. If I do a 20f high at +16 I don't lose to down jab because "I was only +6 on that interaction," I lost because down jab is crouching status on frame 4. Shifting the numbers is messy and unneeded.

@Capo_eirista The baseline is quite literally 0, that's why we say something is plus or minus compared to a neutral state. +5 is +5 regardless of what game I'm playing, the options I have at +5 are what changes depending on game. idk why you're so riled about this.

@Capo_eirista Power crush, rage art, parries, and evasion all interact in ways that break this perspective of 10f being the frame of reference. They are useful because they act faster than jabs do. If I'm +5 and do a 14f mid it loses to power crush despite being "only +1" in your explanation.

@OddShacod yes, i10 is THE number in which frames are calculated. obviously there are interactions where moves with high evasion beat G frames, your example would be +20G meaning you can guard, so yes, a crouch jab would win. your analogy falls apart when replacing the high with a mid.

TekkenDocs now shows Recovery frames on individual move pages! You can also sort the move list by recovery. For now, in simple view, it's displayed in the last column when sorted by it — still experimenting with the best list display. Recovery = frames after active frames end until you can act again (block or attack). Only matters on whiff, indicating how easy it is to whiff-punish. @Mocha__Unicorn I'd love to see whiff recovery listed in the data. I imagine that is easier said than done though since it's so hard to find specific data for whiff recovery. It's one of the largest information blind spots in Tekken compared to resources for other fighting games.

@Romulus_Himself I've heard KoF15 has the same issues and people made noise about it when the game dropped and the issues never got addressed. COTW looks fun but the message being sent to keyboard players by SNK over the past few years is "We don't believe you are important enough to fix this."

@Romulus_Himself The minimal keyboard support is unacceptable. It isn't possible to rebind the spacebar or to bind the numpad keys. Quite literally every other fighting game I've opened on PC allows these binds. I'm not learning a new button layout for this game and said as much in beta feedback.
