nobody talks about how lonely it is to be a developer in Nigeria who is actually serious your friends think you're forming. your family wants you to "get a government job." your classmates are copying past questions. and you're debugging at 1am because you actually believe in what you're building. keep going.

As someone building a career alongside family, one truth I’ve had to confront is that Balance is rarely 50/50. Some days are 90% work and 10% family. Other days are 90% family and 10% work. Most times, the ratio seems fairer. Reality for me on a weekday looks like: • Replying to emails while supervising homework • Jumping from a strategy call straight into making a meal • Occasionally ending the day with a to-do list that somehow grew longer. And that’s okay. I deeply cherish the people that God has placed in my life as support systems and how they fully understand the weight of the vision I carry and are committed to supporting me through all seasons. My goal has never been to balance the hours. It’s that I’m super intentional about what gets my best energy at different seasons of my life. Some seasons in my life have required strong ambition Some seasons have required softness Both seasons are valid. ❤️

I have worked in an organization where every morning we stock the fridge with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for staff. But we had one rule: No alcohol consumption until 5 pm. Interestingly everyone complied but guess what happens at 5 pm?
