Buckets: while tomatoes are considered vegetables, they're actually more of a fruit. In your defense, the Supreme Court weighed in on this in 1893 in Nix v. Hedden. The court ruled that tomatoes shall be classified as vegetables for purposes of imports and tarriffs. It's a pretty controversial decision given the botanical foundation of a tomato. Honestly not sure the Supreme Court ever recovered from this one.
