Artists have the right to refuse service if they disagree with how their art will be perceived. If they dont agree with you or your ideals, they dont have to agree to do art because its "an opportunity". Some people value their morals and ideals more than your money.

An artist would rather receive stick figures made with your own hand as a reference than images that only exist by dissecting the work of millions of other artists.
Furthermore, if someone sends you AI references, they're more likely to use your drawing in another AI as well.

@necrokuma3 No, using an AI-generated reference for a commission does not breach labour rights. The core dispute is copyright and if an artist sells said copyright they have no grounds to dictate how that work is then used in future.

I can’t understand why this is even a debate, artists deserve to be paid and they put so much work into their art.
Using AI is laziness. Can I always afford art or a new model? No. But do I save and support artists, or god forbid learn to draw?? Absolutely.

@PlummSoju Let me clarify. If you create art then sell it you are an Artist. If your creating something from a brief to fit a purpose, your a designer.
You can absolutely be commissioned as an Artist but that's not what the V-tuber space work is, it's design, its business.

Using AI during creative processes is fair because ALL people can use it, it's not an unfair advantage that is only available to a select few of us.
For some people, $100-$150 is the difference between being able to eat that month or not.

REMINDER theres been a boom for a while now of SUPER HIGH QUALITY customizable models that are all around 100 to 150 dollars you can edit textures too also endless FREE models and cheap premades and TONS of item assets. AI art has NO PLACE in this space and there is NO excuse.
