Hujan Deras Picu Banjir Lahar Dingin Semeru, Warga Diminta Menjauh Banjir lahar dingin melanda aliran sungai Gunung Semeru, di Lumajang, Jawa Timur, setelah hujan deras pada Jumat, 21 November 2025, pukul 14.30 WIB. Kabid Kedaruratan dan Logistik BPBD Jawa Timur Satriyo Nurseno mengatakan banjir lahar dingin dilaporkan terjadi pukul 14.42 WIB yang mengarah ke Besuk Kobokan. “Banjir lahar dingin dengan ukuran getaran mencapai akselerasi maksimum (Amak) 43 mm,” kata Satriyo, di Surabaya, Jumat, 21 November 2025. Satriyo mengatakan tidak ada letusan yang terjadi dari Gunung Semeru sebelum terjadinya banjir lahar dingin. Namun, banjir lahar terjadi karena intensitas hujan yang tinggi berakibat pada naiknya debit air. "Itu hanya intensitas hujan di atas tinggi berakibat pada aliran dan naiknya debit aliran lahar dingin,” jelas dia. Petugas BPBD mengimbau masyarakat yang dekat dengan aliran Gladak Perak atau aliran lahar baru untuk waspada dan berhati-hati. Sementara itu hasil pantauan Petugas Pos Pengamatan Gunung Semeru Wahyu Wijayanto pukul 06.00-12.00 WIB menyebut, ada satu kali letusan asap dengan warna putih kelabu setinggi 200 meter ke arah tenggara. Warga diimbau tidak melakukan aktivitas apapun di sektor tenggara di sepanjang Besuk Kobokan, sejauh 20 km dari puncak (pusat erupsi).
