Satoshi's original Bitcoin code had a built in poker game hidden inside it
The first version of Bitcoin released in January 2009 contained a class called CPokerLobbyDialogBase
It had framework code for an on chain poker game, an IRC chat client and a peer to peer marketplace all built into the mining software
The poker code was added on April 16, 2008, months before the whitepaper was even published
It stayed in the codebase for years and wasn't fully removed until Bitcoin version 0.8.2
Nobody knows why Satoshi built a poker game into a digital currency
The code is still visible today on GitHub in the original Bitcoin v0.1 source code, lines 1573 to 1731

We know crypto. But we are a hodler community, some waiting for one penny before selling even a portion! Some even 59 times that. You think XRP army is crazy, hoping for “589” or 10k? We have a few traders, no cap, but we also have people hodling Buckazoids for $0.59 And just as there are people today who are still going on TV and radio — STILL explaining bitcoin to newbies and nocoiners — that’s gonna be some of you five years from now … explaining the ORIGIN of bitcoin to people on YouTube or maybe CNBC Not financial advice but to those who glance our way and expect a pump and dump, our original dev already dumped a year ago: Our community reclaimed and took over this lore AND responsibility to tell bitcoin’s TRUE origins — Freedom money was made by and for gamers, geeks and cypherpunks, not for Wall Street, Trump and Saylor … Buckazoids is not only the origin of bitcoin: we are it’s future as well This week has shown that we will not be denied And we hodl
