Friends of the River Granta ,FROG

I have been down to the river today and saw what appears to be furry stones.Can anyone please advise why the stones appear to be furry?

This is a recent photo of the pipe going over the Granta at Linton.I am concerned that the concrete block will damage the pipe.I am not sure if the pipe is used,but its been there for 60 years.

This drain from a new estate is always running.Does anyone know if these drains are filtered to stop pollutants getting into the river?

My,MP Pippa Haylings,is going to introduce a Bill that would make the Government apply to UNESCO to get the UK’s chalk streams recognised as a Natural World Heritage Site.This bill is about giving chalk streams the global recognition and protection they need.

I am a Parish Councillor for Linton and a member of the Frogs.This is an planning application by Bloor Homes to build houses at Little Linton 25/04541/OUT .A concern is the possible affect on the River Granta.
