Let me explain what that means, because it's the key to understanding everything happening in the West right now. She's speaking from Jerusalem — waiting to hear if there will be air raids tonight — and she says this: you cannot understand why the Islamist world targets Israel and the Jewish people unless you understand that in their mind, 𝗜𝘀𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁. To the Islamist, defeating the West requires first destroying Israel. And you cannot understand the West's own deranged hostility toward Israel unless you understand what the West has spent decades doing to itself — dismantling its own values, its own family structures, its own national identity, its own concept of truth.
