Year 3 - Science ✨🌻

In art, Year 2 explored colouring mixing with red, yellow and blue to create a seascape scene inspired by Claude Monet. This was our practise test with colouring mixing to create the perfect tone of blues and oranges for our scene. Next week, we will learn to sew. 🎨🖌️✨

In today’s PSHE lesson, Year 3B explored what laws are and why they are important. The children created five school rules and discussed why different schools may have their own specific rules. They also considered the importance of having rules in place.

In year 1 we have been looking closely at plants🪴 . We observed the different parts of the plant, and we really enjoyed looking at the roots of the plant. We then created detailed drawings of our plants, remembering to include all the different parts.✨🌈

Our Eco Club students took part in litter picking around the local area as part of Bolton's 'THE BIG SCHOOL CLEAN'. The activity was a wonderful opportunity for students to demonstrate teamwork, environmental responsibility, helping to make the area cleaner for everyone✨👏🌎

16-22nd March is Nutrition & Hydration Week which aims to highlight the importance of good nutritional care and promote best practice. We support wellbeing and encourage engagement through education to sustain healthy lifestyles for our learners and staff members.

Last week in PSHE lessons, the children in Year 6 learned about the civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. and how he campaigned for equal rights. They explored the concepts of prejudice and discrimination and discussed ways they can stand up against unfairness.
