Celebrity Sighting: While at my Dentist’s Office, Dental Excellence of Bowling Green I saw a new to me Dentist, Dr Ickes. After some small talk I found out he was a 2009 Hopewell-Loudon graduate. Another story of the amazing school we are. I am proud to call him my Doctor.

Prior to coming to HL I spent 10 years as the Deputy SRO at Otsego K-12 school. Last night Otsego JV baseball came to HL for a scrimmage. I was truly honored to see and catch up with the Otsego team. What a great afternoon. @CoachCodge #Oneheartbeat

Dillon Gabriel was arrested in downtown Cleveland last night. Gabriel was at practice this morning pending NFL investigation. Will this open the door wider for Shedeur Sanders to move up the depth chart? #DawgPound

Met with HL JH Volleyball team this morning. Brought them doughnuts and chocolate milk to enjoy after an early morning practice. Presented my “5 Minutes for Life” presentation with them. These young ladies are ready for an amazing season. Go Chieftains JH Volleyball 🏐 🍩 #SRO

HL High School VB had a team building event staying all night at the high school. I was honored to greet them this morning with doughnuts and chocolate milk. I had my “5 Minutes for Life” chat with them to. The Volleyball team spirit is super high. #SRO

Had an awesome time at the HL HS Volleyball vs Alumni games. Was great to see so many former and current students. Passed out suckers to all students in attendance and I was able to chat and catch up with them all. The positivity with all students is super high. 26 more days.

Went to watch some HL 7-7 football tonight. Stood on the side lines and had some chat with the players between play’s. The positivity they have is infectious and makes me so happy. All wanted to be there on this super hot day. I am so proud of them. Let’s play fellas. 24 days.

Went to the Wood County Fair tonight. It was so nice to see so many former Otsego students there. Saw so many, had some laughs, and we shared a lot of funny SRO memories. It was so nice to hear them talk so positive about life and getting older. #SRO #OneHeartbeat @Otsego_Supt

Connected with one of my old partners from the Wood Co Sheriffs Office today. Jim Kimble is the Chief of Police at Put in Bay. Was great to see Chief Kimble and catch up on our lives. Oh the memories we made over the many years working together. Was great to see him. #SRO

And another proud DARE/SRO Deputy moment. I met Joseph Dzierwa while he was in 4th grade. He always said he wanted to play professional baseball. Look at him go. So proud to have taught and mentored him over the 10 years as Otsego’s SRO. @OtsegoAthletics #SRO

HL Celebrity citing tonight. Saw these amazing HL grads at Pemberville Monday Night basketball tournament. They were playing against some of my former Otsego HS grads. Was great to see all my former students. Happy to see them and visit with them and their families.

I was honored to see Otsego grad Calista Wilkins at Kalahari. I was here for the Ohio SRO Conference. 12 years ago in elementary school Calista told me her dream job was to be a Pastry Chef and here she is attending Culinary school and working in the Kalahari bakery. 🧁

Had the privledge to spend time today with 5 -7th and 8th grade classes. We discussed school safety and then launched into a 1990’s Trivia Kahoot. We had lots of laughs. It was so fun teaching them about the 90’s. Note: 3 of the 5 classes pictured.#SRO #Kahoot #SROlife

5th Grader Delsin beat me to the April Fools Joke. He had the entire class in on it. He took 1 battery out of the Smart Board Remote. After about 1,384 attempts to turn on the Smart Board the class erupted in laughter telling me April Fools. They got me good. #SROLife

Had an amazing Dance Party with Mrs. Burns 2nd Grade. They worked really hard and earned a behavior reward and chose to spend this time with me. I was honored. We danced and danced and danced…. What a great time we had.#SRO

It’s amazing how a rubber kickball can make a difference. Had 3 -5th grade classes today for an academic/behavior reward. We were kind, respectful, nice, teamates, friends, competitive, polite and all supported each others skills. Oh the fun we had. What a great day we had.

Today I was honored to host a 1st Grade reward. Mrs. Arbogast’s class met their goals and the fun was on. We had a Glow Dance Party today. We danced and danced and had so much fun with our glow sticks. What a fun time we had. And again, reason 238,483,934 why I love what I do.
