Hi @Officeworks – I’ve lodged a complaint (Case OWF69ba04fd556d1) re: Punchbowl store refusing a replacement for a faulty printer. Already repaired once, still not working. Being told ACL “doesn’t apply to printers” is incorrect. Please escalate.

@cspence42 Hi Christine, Yes, we do accept old printers for recycling however it is based on if we have room to take it in. Please call your local store to see if they have room to recycle this for you.

@Officeworks I purchased an A1 combo #Bambulab 3D printer on boxing day. It had a screen fault out of the box (common). Officeworks is impossible to get a hold of and Bambu Lab won't repair because Officeworks is not an authorised distributor (which Officeworks did not disclose)

@Officeworks your store in Brisbane browns plains did fraud with me and your manager Brei was the main culprit. In short Jose sold me ex display printer and after discount it was $349. Store manager denied the price and also told me after paying for it that it doesn’t come ink. I was in state with my wife today on the 12th of Dec to buy a printer and after talking to the representative from the store Jose. After comparing few models we decided to go for brother inkjet A3 MFC-J5955DW which was on clearance for $399 and Jose was able to knock down another $50. So while talking to him about the printer he also mentioned ghat this printer comes with ink for one year which was written on the printer and also 2 years of warranty as we were little worried being ex display printer. He was about to finish his shift so he handed over to Michael another store rep and Micheal told me to wait while he will go and find the ink, power cable and manual. He wasn’t able to find the package which comes with the printer. So he went to the floor and grabbed all the 4 inks which goes with the printer. He was also discussing with another rep about the cost for the ink and etc. so he came to me after like 15 to 20 min so at this time I was already in store for more than an hour. He came to me and told me that he can’t do the price which is $349 Jose told me and we agreed on and this is happening after he went to check for the ink and everything. So I was hearing the conversation which he was having with another rep after he picked up the ink from the floor. Micheal was talking about the cost of all the inks and mentioning that they manager won’t allow them to give that ink and adjust the price as they are not able to find the default package which comes with the printer. So after this I asked Micheal to call the manager so I can talk about the price which we agreed on with Jose. She came in and mentioned that Jose wasn’t authorised for give that discount. I explained her that they discount was not only for ex display he also had another printer in box and being discontinued he can also waive $50 on that but we agreed on the one on floor without box for $349. She refused to owner the price and I would like to add that at this moment Jose and Micheal both know the price we agreed on. So we both were arguing mean while another senior Rep Sami was hearing the conversation and she interrupted and told the manager to call someone and also owner the price Jose and we agreed on. So after making few calls she told she is able to do that price and I went to the billing counter. While the counter girl was scanning the items as I had few other items as well I mentioned her that I am also waiting for the ink for the printer. She didn’t mentioned or said anything till then and after I paid for the printer and asked for the ink. She said that I have to pay extra for the ink as being in ex display printer doesn’t come with anything and it will be as it is. I was shocked and frustrated at same time. I was in store for more than hour and half and now the manager Brei again came into picture and told me that printer doesn’t come with the ink. I lost my self as I was already frustrated and disappointed that this wasn’t the way I was expecting them to treat me. When I kept on asking the ink and she kept denying we again had heated argument and she told me she is calling the police. So after some time police came and I explained them that this store manager is doing fraud with me. They told me to take this is ACCC or any other authority. So I am writing to you guys and I am also attaching the receipts which I paid for and I have to get the refund as they refused to give me the ink which we agreed on. This is clear case of fraud and misrepresentation.
