For anyone interested in reading narrative non-fiction like The Wager, may I heartily recommend "The Dangerous Wife" by M. J. Checketts 🫢- a true legal thriller recounting the 1899-1900 Australian attempted murder trial of Kathleen Fraser, FRESH off the presses. 👀

In FACT, I'm about to go find some pretty stickers to COVER them, because I'd rather have a sticker I like rather than this ugly logo stamped on.

I do not know what book publishers need to hear this ... but stop putting permanent stickers into the covers. I will not watch this Netflix show PURELY out of spite for ruining this book cover.

First 5-star read of 2026 is Counterpart by Ella Pyne 🙌

Wrapping up reading in 2025 🙌 (goodreads.com/user/year_in_b…). Looking forward to 2026 to continue Wheel of Time and to get into the books I got for Christmas, including The Shadow of the Gods. HEFTY books incoming, good LAWD.
