In Islamic belief, Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog) are two powerful and corrupt tribes of humans mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith. Long ago, they spread chaos on Earth, destroying lands and harming people wherever they went. During that time, a righteous king named Dhul-Qarnayn traveled across the world and reached a community living in fear of them. The people asked for protection, so he built a massive barrier of iron and molten copper between two mountains, trapping Yajuj and Majuj behind it by Allah’s permission.
For centuries, they have remained confined behind this barrier, constantly trying to break through it. Islamic teachings say they dig at the wall every day, but each night Allah restores it, preventing their escape. Their story serves as a warning about the dangers of corruption, power without morality, and societies that spread destruction instead of justice.
Near the end of time, after the appearance of Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him), Allah will allow the barrier to collapse. Yajuj and Majuj will surge across the Earth in huge numbers, causing great turmoil and consuming resources rapidly. Humanity will be unable to stop them, and believers will pray for relief until Allah destroys them through a divine event, restoring peace and marking one of the final major signs before the Day of Judgment.
